Chelsea are hosting Liverpool in the first game of the 5th round of the English Premier League at the Stamford Bridge in London.
The Blues are currently placed just behind the leader Manchester City, with just two points behind Pep Guardiola’s team, while Liverpool are looking to establish a run of good results after some dissapointing performances since the start of the season.
Last week Chelsea lost points for first time this season, with Antonio Conte’s team being unable to take the win against Swansea. The game at Liberty Stadium finished with a 2-2 draw, with only Diego Costa’s brace saving The Blues from a first loss under Conte’s management.
It was a whole different story for Liverpool last week. The Reds celebrated a second win since the start of the new campaign, beating the champion Leicester City with 4-1 at the Anfield.
It’s curious to follow the tactical battle between two of the best managers in the world right now - Antonio Conte and Jurgen Klopp. It’s safe to say that Conte’s start in the Premier League is satisfying, with the Itaian tactician winning 10 points of 12 possible in the first four rounds. The game against Liverpool is the first big derby he’s about to have since his arrival in England.
Jurgen Klopp on the other hand is carrying the reputation of a manager who is doing well in big games. He proved that in the first round of the league, when Liverpool beat Arsenal at the Emirates, scoring four goals in the process. Let’s see how he’d do at the Stamford Bridge.
Prediction: This a difficult game to predict, mainly because Liverpool being so unpredictable under Jurgen Klopp. They could lose points against lesser teams, but after that they could do really well against some of the big clubs. Chelsea on the other hand is showing a good stability under Antonio Conte, with the Swansea game beign the only exception so far. We advice you to try a Chelsea win this time or a draw, if you believe that Klopp’s boys will show again that they are pretty good in the derbies. We think that Chelsea won’t lose this game in front of their own fans
